Fusion Partners (FP) provides Corporate Venturing services to leading organizations. Simply said, we work with our clients to build the future of their business and accelerate disruptive innovations, by creating fully new ventures and new business models, and by setting up partnerships with innovative start-ups. Our main mission is to build new startups from scratch, both for our clients (“Corporate Venturing Advisory”) and for our ourselves (“Startup Studio”).

To support our Startup Studio, we are looking for a startup talent hunter, who will be responsible for developing and further engaging our community of new venture builders.

As talent hunter, you will own all activities aimed at selecting, recruiting, nurturing and retaining the key persons who will join the new ventures created by Fusion Startup Studio (“founding” team: CEO, CTO, product owner, etc.):

  • Explore new ways to attract talents in our ecosystem and to generate network effects within the Swiss startup scene
  • Organize events to engage with our community and identify potential candidates
  • Map all the relevant events within the innovation, tech and startup ecosystem, at both Swiss and international level
  • Build relationships with event organizers and the media
  • Coordinate Fusion team members’ participation to all relevant events, to promote Fusion and build connections with ecosystems’ key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to shaping venture culture and employer brand
  • Design and execute venture hiring strategy
  • Identify sourcing channels, including inbound applications, outreach campaigns, and external recruiters
  • Manage digital resources and campaigns, including job postings, career page, online portals, ads, etc.
  • Actively reach out to potential candidates and build relationships over time
  • Manage external recruiters to ensure a steady and qualitative flow of candidates
  • Define and track KPIs, design funnels, and create reports
  • Work with venture CEOs to anticipate hiring needs, define job descriptions, profiles, salary grids, and scorecards
  • Coach Venture teams on interview processes and best practice

To be successful in this role, your skills and experience must include:

  • 5+ year experience in sourcing talent, either as an internal recruiter or in a recruitment firm
  • Ability to empathise with people and create strong personal connections
  • Resourceful, proactive and creative: you can think out of the box
  • Some technical knowledge of growth techniques
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Good public speaking, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and obsession for execution excellence
  • Experience in tech companies and/or startups is a must
  • Active involvement within Swiss and European startup ecosystem
