Cyberion is a cyber insurance start-up that specializes in providing active cyber protection to small and medium businesses in Switzerland. Our mission is to help businesses protect themselves against cyber threats and minimize the impact of cyber incidents through a comprehensive suite of cyber insurance and active cyber defense solutions, including insurance coverage. We make it simple and fit for their needs, so that their business is robust, resilient, and protected in the cyber space.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Chief Technology Officer to join the leadership team and drive the development of the start-up from the very beginning. This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a cutting-edge start-up at the cornerstone between the cyber security and insurance industries. Role and responsibilities

As our CTO, you will have the opportunity to shape Cyberion’s technology strategy. You will shape and build-up a talented team of tech, data, and cyber security professionals. As the venture is still in its inception it will be your decisions that pave the way to its success. As the co-founder of the venture you will have full autonomy alongside the CEO over the roadmap and execution of the initial investment. You will work together to set the vision for the company and define the overall strategy from launch to scale, including long-term goals and driving growth, profitability and company value.

To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong strategic and commercial mindset, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You'll also need a proven track record in developing and implementing tech strategies with a background and interest in Cyber security. You will stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in the rapidly evolving cyber security landscape, constantly seeking out new ways to add value to our customers.

In addition to be an integral part of Cyberion’s management team, you will be expected to:

• Lead our strategy and architecture design for our technology and data platform
• Shape tech organization and build-out tech team
• Select and manage tech and cyber security partners
• Develop the technological infrastructure and platform
• Drive the development of automated cyber security monitoring solutions
• Develop and manage the cyber incident response
• Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity

Qualifications and education requirements

• You are motivated to join an early stage start-up and thrive in ambiguous, fast changingenvironments
• You have 7+ years experience across software development, tech architecture
• You have hands-on experience in cyber security analysis and/or incident response
• You have strong project management skills with the ability to manage people effectively
• You are collaborative and good humored when the pressure is on
• You are a self-starter, problem solver with a pragmatic mindset
• You have strong communication skills with the ability to present a technology vision confidently
• You are an effective leader and team-player who knows how to hire the right talent
• You have international & multicultural experience
• You speak fluently English, as well as French or German

The location of the role is in Switzerland, with a preference for Zurich, Lausanne or Geneva or willingness to travel to these locations.
